Re: Ask Degen Anything About Living In Thailand
[ QUOTE ]
Someone talk me out of it. [/ QUOTE ] Can you imagine living on the beach, going out all the time, having a maid, etc, and have MORE money leftover than you do now, huddled in your cramped apartment and stocking up on Dinty Moore and maple syrup in anticipation of another long winter? |

haha cramped apartment? winter? ever been to thailand? [/ QUOTE ] He's referring to Winnipeg. And oh how I hate him. I think I'm going to take the winter term off of school and hop on the first plane to Thailand. That sounds like a plan. |

New airport encounters major glitch
The baggage handling system at Suvarnabhumi Airport encountered a major technical glitch yesterday, leaving over 6,700 outbound luggage items stranded at the airport. Suvarnabhumi Airport director Somchai Sawasdeepol said the automated system crashed twice, between 6.00-6.20am and 9.00-10.00am, resulting in 6,722 pieces of luggage missing their flights. Ouch thats a lot of missing luggage |

Full moon looked great last night.
I was tempted to hop over to KPN but it rained hard in the afternoon and I was so sure it was going to rain again and ruin the night. Turns out it didnt rain, oh well. Maybe next month. |

[ QUOTE ]
Everytime I have played basketball with Thais they hacked the [censored] out of my arms while playing. I think its because I am tall and unstopable to these little thais and that is the only way then can win. [/ QUOTE ] lol dont forget the fouls getting called on just about everything. when i played there when i was in phuket, there were 2 foreign teams in the league, both from my school. on the whole they treated us ok, but some of the thai refs were alittle biased *sort of expected - they thought of us a rich pricks who couldnt play*. also if you ever play for a league there, watch out for players ref'ing games.. [ QUOTE ] ISB players weren't very good [/ QUOTE ] you're probably right - i never went to ISB, but did go to RIS, where we had some excellent ball handlers, shooting guards and centers (the starting center got a scholarship to some D2 school stateside), so thats where i drew the conclusion from, guessing that since ISB has more students now, they'd have a better team. |

Re: Ask Degen Anything About Living In Thailand
I've been toying with the idea of a long vacation to thailand for a while now, and have been kinda stuck on if to do it or not. Tonight I had a pretty strong finish in a freeroll mtt, and I'm trying to figure out if I can justify the trip to myself by saying it's all the money from that and not my br. Just exactly what kind of money would have to be spent for 1 month living less then 1 block from the beach in a hotel/apartment that doesn't have to be all that nice + living expenses that consist of going to the bars ~5 nights a week.
Also, yes this is a badly disguised brag post that should be in bbv |
