Hand 1- I don't see him having a better hand here ever, but I also don't see him calling a river raise with anything you beat. So you end up valuetowning yourself the few times he actually has you beat.

Hand 2- is ? for me

Hand 3- I like a minraise on the river or a push if he's aggro on the river and stacks off easy

Karp,

I hate the situation in hand 1. Generally I think "fold" is the correct answer, but... I might would call here just because this is a blind battle and just because people play really weird and bad in blind battles sometime.

I think either way, checking behind the turn is good, but maybe I'm being results oriented because I hate this spot so much.

The problem with calling the turn is that I hate also calling the river and IF he's check/raising the turn as a bluff, he'll usually shove the river and IF he's check/raising the turn for value, he pretty much will always push the river. Maybe if you are futuredoc, you can just shove the turn and let him call with bottom pair and then post it in the [censored] thread. I'd probably fold though and make some note about hating him and blind battles and stuff.

Hand 2, if they checked a 5 or a higher set on the river, then [censored] them and they can have my stack. I want money from an overpair / a goofy 2 pair they can't get away from.

Hand 3, I'd def. just call - I don't see any value in raising unless he is a complete idiot and will call with 8x or some similar trashy holding.

My A7 hand I feel his river range is basically a nine or air and his flop/turn range makes him pretty never have a nine.

My TT hand
My thinking is I need 30% equity, lots of pairs "need" to bluff here because they have no showdown value. I call. FWIW I really wish I had T9s because than it looks like a much cooler call.

#1

Blind on blind violence. When he only completes the SB can you put him on A9-AQ?

Check-call, Check-raise is strong. He probably has 2 pair.

Fold.

#2

The 7 was very likely to have hit one of them and there was a big bet and a call in front of you.

You're getting a little more than 4 to 1 from the pot and you are about 5 to 1 to hit the FH on the river.

Your implied odds against a straight are pretty good on the river so I think you can call, but you are going to be oversetted some of the time.

I don't know what nitty reg plays this way. He could be expecting a bet from one of you. He's not likely to have any hand that pays off on your bet. Maybe 88? zprofy is pretty darn unlikely to have you beat and might have 2 pair, but missed flush draw is more likely.

With $170 in the pot and only $50 or so behind I don't think people are checking the 5 or folding overpair/2pair, so push. Skint might have been tricky or have an overset, but you don't have to be right all the time.

#3

Almost always just call, but he's your maniac. Hurry up and get specific reads.

you should have bet full pot or just under on the flop esp. vs a calling station, why did you bet ~1/2 pot on such a drawy board? Turn i can see just calling vs a competent opponent b/c that just completed every draw.

After reading your thoughts and FD's comments I understand the call, at least against competent opponents.

I was thinking the hammerheads I usually play against could easily have any J, 22, AA, KK, and even A high often enough that it makes it much closer.
