If youre tilted and really want to keep playing, donkaments are the best cure. Plus you can limit your losses really easily.

[/ QUOTE ]

What of donkaments are your primary source of tilt?

[/ QUOTE ]

Well that would mean you're primarily a donkament player, which would mean suicide is the only viable option.
(I played them almost exclusively for a year or so -- I wish the variance on no one)

It's a good story but I'll give the cliffs:
I actually won the $11r $55kgaurantee for $12k with ~$0 to my name. Dunno where I would be if I didn't go deep.

pls provide donkaments cliff notes for decent winning TAG NL cash game player. Many thanks and 5% of my winnings for the next 4 tournaments I enter.

[/ QUOTE ]

Donkaments are fun for me b/c I can be pretty nitty when playing cash.

Here are my cliffs:
In the early stages, you should play lots of pots. Open raise a bunch, call a lot in position.
Lots of reasons, but basically you can rely on your postflop skills to exploit the donkeys (skill level is 100x worse in tournaments).
If this goes well, you build a nice stack or you'll bust.
You need a big stack to do damage in these things, as all the money is at the final table (Usually top 4).

Keep it up until you have an M of around 10 [M=stack size/sb+bb+(ante*players)]*. Then you have to tighten up and look for places to steal blinds, and push over weak open raisers. Or find a hnd of course.

Once your M is ~4 you should be open pushing anytime its folded to you in MP-LP where you figure you have a decent chance to pick up blinds.

Once M is less than 2, you're in big trouble, and you have to push pretty much anytime you can open. Try to never get in this spot.

*example:
You have a stack of 4000 at 9 players at table. Blinds 100/200 with ante of 25.

m=4000/100+200+(25*9)
m=4000/300+225
m=4000/525
m=7.62
