Having a worthy challenger with a lot of votes go down in the preliminaries just makes the finals that much more interesting. As it now stands, if the top 3 were the finalists, I doubt the end result would change, but force the supporters of #3 to select someone else and #2 in the preliminaries has a shot at winning. That was part my theory (along with only having 6 entrants) in changing it to the top 2 and I think it makes sense.

I see your point. That said, if I make it into the final 2, I have zero interest in going HU against Octopi. Everyone knows what the outcome would be.
