[ QUOTE ] Featured Table: Scotty Nguyen Takes a 1.825 Million Pot Raymond Rahme has the button in seat 7, Scotty Nguyen raises from middle position to 350,000, and Philip Hilm calls from the cutoff. The flop comes {6h}{3d}{2s}, Nguyen bets 420,000, and Hilm calls. There is now 1.825 million in the pot. The turn card is the {Ad}, Nguyen bets 700,000, and Hilm folds. The crowd applauds as Scotty Nguyen takes the pot. [/ QUOTE ] Das no leemeet holdum babee. [/ QUOTE ] Every time someone imitates that famous Scotty quote, Humberto Brenes thinks of a new obnoxious way to forget about the 8-3 hand. Maybe next year a wind-up shark that opens and closes its mouth? |

Kalmar just donked off almost all his chips. [/ QUOTE ] Probably a missing 0 typo. If not, some one has over 30 million. To further emphasize this, his reported stack size of 1,759,000 is impossible (no 1000 chips left). |

Kalmar just donked off almost all his chips. [/ QUOTE ] Childs has to be the one right? If he lost 16m on one hand it had to mean CHilds is up to ~$32m. |

[ QUOTE ] "He's around a 3 to 1 underdog here against top set and he's getting 2.5 to 1 to call." Closer to a 4 to 1 underdog against top set. [/ QUOTE ] 11 outs, if we include the gutshot. That's exactly 3 to 1. [/ QUOTE ] I count 10 outs (7 clubs, excluding the 6 and 9, and 3 non-club 7s), but it's not important. I was just arguing because I dislike Kalmar. If it is 11 outs and I'm missing something because I am tired, NH. |

[ QUOTE ]
Khan is really inactive, must be seriously card dead. [/ QUOTE ] "For two or three hours I've received nothing and every time I have something marginally playable, there is so much action on the table, or they open the pot into me. That hurts my image that much more so I have to open up and at least show the table that I have nothing, I just can't start opening when they have no idea what I have. If I don't have anything, and I'm card dead, it doesn't make sense to open up with suited connectors, double-gappers, weak aces from mid-position. The whole tables going to, you know…pick me apart. The timing is really off, it's really off-beat right now, but I'm being patient though, I'm not really sweating it. I'm having a great time, were getting deeper, people are getting eliminated, lots of moving all in, people are making a lot of mistakes. I'm trying my best to pick up on betting patterns and tells. At this point though, when the blinds jump up again there's going to be more frequent all-ins. The guys who are shorter are now in push-fold mode. There is a guy two to my right; I can pretty much see him getting all in again pretty soon. Lee Watkinson, after that big double up, I think is going to pick his spots and secure a final table spot. I think Kenny Tran is going to start picking it up a little bit, he's been kind of quiet; he hasn't made a lot of pots since this table began. I can tell that he is getting kind of angry, because people are putting in fat raises and doing weird things. I think he wants to be a part of the action. It's going to be pretty exciting when we come back from dinner break." -From Khan's cardplayer blog about five hours ago. |
