On the History Channel there are the "UFO FIles" shows, "Exorcism, Driving the out the Devil" off of their current schedules, and I seem to remember one of them doing some special on that urban magician guy who claimed he could levitate, the Alien Autopsy, Bible code, and didn't one of them do a show giving credence to the whole "they staged the moon landing" group? And I'm pretty sure one of them has done an Astrology show as well. Buy putting on these shows without a big disclaimer saying this is garbage they give the same credibility to these crack pot theories as they do to their regular science/history shows. |

Hmm, never seen the 'A Haunting...' series.
Ghost Hunters is actually a good series. They do a pretty good job of explaining away most crap that normal paranormal whackos call credible (for instance when you take a picture with a flash and you see dust/bugs in the air and they call them 'orbs'). I say 'most' on purpose, though. Those don't sound like they purport to be science shows, though. They sound like entertainment. |
