Hey if you guys have suggestions for how we should structure this for next week, please post them here. I don't have much of a preference on how the stake is worded...but i want to avoid this crap ever happening again, I dont want a bunch of questions bout it and all that jazz

[/ QUOTE ]

just make an example, like say it's 70/20/10 again, with say the pooled shared money redistributed if it's over say 500
(make it up,
#players*100/2 or something,
so it works out where there's only profit sharing if you don't take a loss),

here's example:

#1-8 no cashes ,
#9 cash 415
#10 cash 815
so #9 sends back 215+140+20 = 375, keeps 40
so #10 sends back 215+420+60 = 695, keeps 120

now 80 in the pooled fund, didn't meet the minimum, so is kept by backer.

next week

#1-7 no cashes ,
#8 cash 5015
#9 cash 415
#10 cash 815
so #8 sends back 215+3360+480= 4055, keeps 960
so #9 sends back 215+140+20 = 375 , keeps 40
so #10 sends back 215+420+60 = 695 , keeps 120

now 560 in the pooled fund, did meet the minimum, so all players sent 560/10 or 56 dollars.

-------------------------------

so then players can just plug their stuff into an easy to understand example rather than try to interpret what is a lot of times somewhat ambiguous language.

Blueman, can we have a lil background on you plz? over the past few weeks ive found myself wondering "whats the story behind this blueman guy?"

edit: i totally understand if u wish to remain a 2+2 enigma, but nonetheless i'm curious.

also: mods, plz to be hooking blue up with custom title "LOL_STEAKAMENTS"

i think a title of 'he's not santa claus' would be pretty sick, after gilds comment in this thread haha

i really don't like sharing a bunch of personal details about myself over the internet to strangers. i'm semi-retired and a bit older than most 2+2ers. 2+2 has been very good to me, and i'm glad to be able to give something back through these threads. thats also probably part of the reason the stake details dont much matter to me, this isn't really about the money. lots of players get their bankroll start on the path to becoming huge ballers through an MTT cash. if i can set a couple of kids up on that path through these threads, while still making a very wise and prudent investment...well, that would make me pretty fkin happy and proud. i hope people continue to have so much integrity and i can continue this for a long time, whether through BBV or elsewhere (dunno how long the greens and reds will allow this...)

well put sir...

blueman,

i know you're not doing this for the $$$, but i'm curious as to how you've made out so far and what your average arrangement was?

i.e. 60/40 or 70/30 or something and how much you staked vs. how much you got back.

Thanks and very nice job,
Barron

cashed for 663 so shipping 573 to bottomset.

thanks for the stake blueman, it was a lot of fun and very generous of you. i hope you get a lot of final tables because you deserve the good karma for giving a lot of players shots at this.

[/ QUOTE ]

he's not santa claus, you guys are an investment

[/ QUOTE ]

Ya rly, let's not start sucking each other's dicks just yet.

[/ QUOTE ]

whoa now wait a second. sure he could make tons of money here but if i came to you gildwulf and asked you for a sun mil stake would you give it to me? i don't see very many people staking people they don't know well like this. i would not have played today if he didn't stake me. i got a free shot at a score because of him. so yes, it potentially benefits him but there is a good amount of risk, which is why you don't see people lining up to stake bbvers.

[/ QUOTE ]

Here is a blueman post from his thread in eld forum

[ QUOTE ]
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...art=1&vc=1

This is an interesting case study i think. just a little fun staking thread i started in BBV but its growing at a rapid rate and im employing many of the techniques from the book to scale it, grow it, and run it with myself not a part of the equation...i'm using auto responders and having assistants send out payments and review stakees...in 2-3 weeks i should be able to do absolutely nothing but review a list of 100 names, pick the best ones, tell the people to send out the money then cheer them on when they play. i'll add people to watch them play and coach them and all manner of other things....but all i will do is make decisions and deal with problems, and let the 'virtual assistants' carry out the details.

rinse. repeat. retire.

As I said, you are an investment. It is nice that he is doing it, yes, but as I said, he's not santa claus.

also on sunday blueman should be made a mod of bbv at least for the day so he can mod his own post(s) so he can weed out the weeds and keep everything orderly.

I mean it seems like thats the least the forum could do for him since he is staking, I mean come on.
