Villain has Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] x[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Looks fine to me - you're well ahead of villain's range every time you put money into the pot, with no opportunity for you to ever raise.

Yuck that spot is really ugly. On one hand we know that villain is capable of raising cbets with air, but on the other hand you're a nit and I can't imagine a reg with those stats calling you with much that you have much equity against if you raise.

I probably call and donk non-club turns folding to a raise.

re: QQ hand - i'd push, 'cause my table image is typically relatively crazy (I think my lifetime PT stats have me out at 27/22 or so). This, I think, depends how others see you.

Villain knows that a J45 flop is unlikely to hit you, and a chunk of the hands he flat calls your PF raise with like that flop but are still behind to QQ - pocket pairs 66-TT, 67, club draws. I don't think sets play that board that fast, since you never have 67, and your AK, AQ type hands missed.

If he flat called your flop bet, and a blank card came on the turn and he raised then, I would fold.

I'm not sure many 100nl TAGs are thinking on this level. And you're still stick with the problem that any draws he has have tons of equity against QQ here, then combine with the times he has sets, and villain has to be stacking off with AJ here a lot for a shove to be good.

Pushing is pretty bad I think since it will only get you action from hands that are 45% or better against you unless villain is willing to stack off with AJ here for 120BBs.

Also bones is like 15/9 so I really don't see 66-TT raising the flop especially in position since villain can beat bones' hands that miss with a float much cheaper.

Villain is 23/4/1

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $1 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Hero ($154)

1 fold, MP calls $1, 2 folds, Hero completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($3) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets $2, BB folds, MP calls $2.

i think you played perfectly. You lose to precisely K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and JJ (and, AA, but I assume that's in the 4% of hands he raises)

If the Ace on the board was off-suit, and the Jack was the heart, I'd be much more inclined to check call. Having the Ace of Hearts on the board makes it far less likely that the villain has a flush, since many hands (eg K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]) would fold pf, while A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] is almost certainly a limping hand from a 23/4 player.

QT QJ KQ KT K9 Q9 56 79 67 of hearts are all in a 24% limpers range.

I think the river is b/f because he's pretty passive and I don't think he's raising the river with 2pair on this board. I always check street by street aggression in PAHUD though to be sure he's not one of the 20/4/1's who call everything on the flop and turn but have like 85% river aggression.

I was planning on b/f, but then I looked again and saw I had a set. Nobody is taking my sets.
