4_2, so for you The Illusionist > The Prestige?

I really liked 300. When I hear people saying how bad 300 was I think it's because they were expecting to much of it. If you don't expect a lot from this movie you will like it IMO. My favorite quote from this movie is: "Spartans... give them nothing... but take from them everything!..." The way he said it was pretty awesome!

Here's how I see them:

1) Plot -- Prestige
2) Execution -- Illusionist
3) Writing - Prestige
4) Acting -- Illusionist (Caine & Bowie combined with Biel almost swing this)
5) Rewatchability -- Illusionist
6) Directing -- Illusionist (which is tough because I really like Chris Nolan a lot. I thought he allowed Prestige to plod on about 20 minutes too long.)

It's close. I guess what tilts to Illusionist for me is the fact that it a movie that both my wife and I enjoy (we seldom agree on movies).

Lots of good lines. "It is an honor to die with you, my king." "It was an honor to live with you."

I enjoyed Xerxes repeating "Am I not kind?" everywhere. I am going to use this at least once every day.

Practice makes perfect. People can get used to anything, the more you sit around doing nothing but worrying about it, the worse it gets.

So I basically got fired from my first job.

I work at two diff seven elevens. One at night and one in the morning from 9am.

The one at night is the one with the dick of a boss. He told my friend to tell me to stop coming starting from next week.

Kil,

Don't sweat. Getting fired or laid off isn't that big of a deal. Just get a new job at Ben & Jerry's or as an usher in a Movie Theatre.

old axiom, "that honesty is always best", in this situation is really true here. The longer you wait/lie about the situation the harder it will end up in the end....

Will probably also help if you have some form of plan for what you are going to do after this....

Well, she will probably ask what you plan to do now. Have a good answer.

Good luck bro. After the the teen years, the 2nd toughest time to deal with parents is young adulthood.
