QB, QB, WR, WR, RB, RB, TE, W/R, K, DEF

League is PPR, all TD's worth 6 points.
This is an autodrafted roster.

QB - Eli Manning
QB - Jake Plummer
RB - Steven Jackson
RB - Edgerrin James
WR - TJ Houshmanzadeh
WR - Calvin Johnson
TE - Jason Witten
W/R - Vincent Jackson
K - Shayne Graham/Joe Nedney (which one do I keep?)
Def - Seattle
BN - Leon Washington, Wes Welker, Ashley Lelie, Adrian Peterson(Chi).

Obviously I need a QB. The starting QB's who are backups in the league right now are Alex Smith, Joey Harrington, Damon Huard, and Daunte Culpepper. So who am I targeting and how much would you be willing to give up?

Rate my draft. 2nd overall pick. I don't like my RB situation, but there was value at other spots when it got to me. Standard scoring (4 pts per QB TD and no PPR).

Picks are by round:

Steven Jackson
Marvin Harrison
Steve Smith
Marshawn Lynch
Randy Moss
Tony Romo
Deangelo Williams
Jay Cutler
Chargers
Muhsin Muhammad
Joe Horn
Anthony Gonzalez
Dominic Rhodes
Heath Miller
Olindo Mare

[/ QUOTE ]

Got rushed. We start QB, 2RB, 2WR, TE, D,K and one flex (RB/WR/TE)

2+2 league just drafted, pick your horses

I like Toronto and stillers out of those

Excellent choices. I'm Toronto and feeling pretty good about this one. Stillers looks solid, and PTBNL can't be written of with Tomlinson.

I absolutely love my RB/WR situation. I'm "Off." LJ, Peterson, Edge, Barber III, plus Chad Johnson, Torry Holt, and Cotchery.

had the second pick in most rounds, but ended up trading 2, 19, and 62 for 3, 18, and 43. 1 pt per 25 passing yards and 5 pts per passing TD, 1 pt per 10 yards and 6 pts per TD otherwise. Start QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR/RB, WR/TE, TE, K, DEF

Like 4_2, I didn't care much for the RB value compared to what WRs were availible (except at maybe pick 18) and since I can start up to 4, I didn't mind going elite WRs early since this league has a deep bench, so I'd be able to add RB depth (while everyone else in my league is drafting 3rd and 4th QBs and DSTs) in the end of the draft. I had never gotten this WR happy before in my life, every other year I had picked RBs with my first 4 picks, but 15 of the first 16 picks were RB, and I couldn't resist drafting those first 4 guys who will all have at least a dozen balls thrown to them each week.

3 - Gore
18 - Ocho Cinco (Ronnie Brown, T Jones, C Portis still on the board)
22 - S Smith
39 - D Driver
42 - J Lewis
43 - L Evans
59 - J Norwood
79 - D Stallworth
82 - C Cooley
99 - M Muhammad
102 - P Rivers
119 - DJ Hackett
122 - Chris Brown
139 - R Droughns
142 - M Morris
159 - S Gostkowski
162 - GB DST
179 - C Buckhalter

I'm feeling like your RB situation is high risk/reward, with the uncertainty about LJ and Edge, Peterson being a rookie, and Barber being so dependent on TDs for his production. But it could very well be a dominant corps. WRs are nice, it's true.

kkcountry,

I know he was your last pick, but keep an eye on Buckhalter. Rumor in Philly is that he might get cut in favor of Hunt.

4_2_it, nice WR corps, but I don't understand taking Romo in the 6th. Also, you should have secured a solid 2nd RB since your league has the flex spot. Lynch and Williams are risky, but would make adequate 3rd RBs. Since you only need to start 2 WR, I'd be much happier with just a single stud WR and then acquire lots of depth later. How many teams are in your league?

As you already mentioned, I really wouldn't be thrilled with Lynch as a #2 back. Lynch will be enough though since you have LDT and the top 2 wide receivers

Great value on Miller in the second to last round.

12 teams. My RB options when I took Moss were Fred Taylor, Tatum Bell, Ladell Betts and Chester Taylor. 18 RBs were gone before I made my 2nd pick so I decided that Harrison/Smith would probably be better than Portis/Lewis.

Romo was the 10th QB taken and the team with the 1st pick did not have a QB either so I figured it was either Romo or get stuck with Young or Leinert.

Chris Brown went undrafted. Does it make sense to dump Rhodes and pick up Brown?
