Yeah that was me. Like futuredoc said checking is fine to induce action from weaker hands later on either in the form of a bluff or call. I just suggested it here as an option b/c the flop is relatively dry so you aren't getting action from many draws and the flop is also ace high which makes it a lot less likely you're going to get a call from a weaker hand.
