Re: ~~~ OFFICIAL YANKEES 2007 WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS OR BUST THREAD ~~
LOL 2-1 Braves runner on 3rd 2 outs for Reyes and he makes an out. [censored] Idiot and the [censored] Idiot (otherwise known as Mike and the Mad Dog) claim that Jeter gets a hit 100% of the time in this situation. I swear, they actually said 100%. Morons like this are why so many people hate Jeter and think he is over-rated. I am so happy that this happened so soon after this statement, not even because the Yankees lost but because I hope someoen give these dumb morons some crap.

Jeter only gets a hit 100% of the time when it matters. This game didn't matter.

Re: ~~~ OFFICIAL YANKEES 2007 WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS OR BUST THREAD ~~
you have to be functionally retarded to care about what mike and the mad dog have to say about anything - they're entertainers. if you had to do 5 hours of radio 5 days a week you'd say stupid [censored] too.

Let\'s Face the Facts, Yankee Fans
We got a bad team this year. The biggest problem is that no starting pitcher goes deep in a game, and every bullpen pitcher is inconsistent. Maybe Pettitte and Wang will give them 8 solid on a consistent basis. Maybe. Mussina is not the pitcher he was, nor is Rivera. Clemens is a question mark and so is Hughes. Meanwhile, we're 21-27. If Jeter or Posada doesn't get a big hit, nobody does.
I've seen no evidence that this team can compete with the better teams in the league. And no reason to expect that they will. Sure, maybe Abreu and Damon and Giambi will start to hit, but Jeter and Posada will cool off, and A-Rod already has. They're not 21-27 by virtue of bad luck or by accident. |

[/ QUOTE ] No one goes 8 on a consistent basis. Wang is as big of a horse as they come and he's a tad under 7 IP/GS. They are 21-27 by virtue of bad luck. They usually would have won more games with this team. And they still swept Cleveland and took 2 of 3 from Boston at home, who have like the 2nd best record and best record in AL respectively. |
