In this competition, there was 1 person who got 12 right, 2 who got 11 right, 4 who got 10 right, 2 who got 9 right, 1 who got 7 right, and 1 who got 3 right.

Imagine if we ran it once, you got 11 right and you missed only the first question. Let's further assume you were the only one to miss it. You'd get last place. This isn't fair because you were going to score in the top 3 otherwise.

For each run of the method, I chose the questions in a different order. This minimized the luck factor of missing any one question.

BTW, I'm pleased with the results of this method. I hope I did a good job of explaining why I ran it so many times. Feel free to ask more questions. Thanks! [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

why didnt we just get points for each question?
if 11 people said woman and one person said man, those people get 11, other guy gets 1. what am i missing?
