the real problem for the yankees is starting pitching...why the [censored] do they have Joba and Hughes in the bullpen?

[/ QUOTE ]

I'll fight to the death that Joba should stay in the bullpen.

[/ QUOTE ]

Sad waste of talent to lose in the pen.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yea, Dominant closers are so easy to find. Rivera and Paplebon's are all over the league.

[/ QUOTE ]

For sure, you can't imagine how hard it is to watch Carmona pitch and think "If only he had succeeded as a closer"

Hopefully for the Yankees they don't give up a run here as it would mean that a grand slam would only tie it instead of winning it.

Meh, Joe Nathan, K-rod, Cordero, Zumaya, they aren't THAT rare.

Haha whatever, Rivera has been the most important Yankee of the past 10 yrs, when Borowski starts blowing post season saves maybe you will wish Carmona made it as a closer.

There are only two great closers in MLB, Rivera and Paplebon, id rather groom Joba to take over in 09' and buy a starting pitcher.

Well, on the upside, for those of us who love the drama, the stage is now set for Steinbrenner to pay to fly Reggie Jackson in to give A-rod a hummer since he comes up 3rd in the bottom of the 9th down 3.

[/ QUOTE ]

Reggie threw out the first pitch.
