Re: Stars VIP Wild speculation
I think I undershot the amount of E$ Supernova Elite's currently get.
Currently they get 2 out of the following 3: EPT Monte Carlo $15,500 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure $8,000 World Series of Poker $10,000 AND they get WCOOP $2600 So right now they get ~$25,000+ in tournament entries (not including travel and hotel accommodations). By the way, I love the cookie basket. |

Re: Stars VIP Wild speculation
I was thinking a little bit more about the E$ 'proposal' and how good it would be for both Stars and the players. A couple points for the Stars guys reading this:
[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] It costs Stars nothing additional. [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] It gives the players more choices, which makes them much happier. Each Supernova Elite receives $25,000 E$ in January. Basically, all tournaments that you can purchase in the FPP store are covered under this plan. Maybe the Sunday Warm-up could also be included for our European brothers and sisters. It has become quite a popular tournament. So the following tournaments would be available: <font color="red"> European Poker Tour </font> EPT Barcelona Open $11,800 EPT London $11,300 EPT Baden Classic $11,800 EPT Dublin $11,800 EPT Prague $7,400 EPT Caribbean Adventure $8,000 EPT German Open $11,800 EPT Scandinavian Open $10,300 EPT Polish Open $12,100 EPT San Remo $11,800 EPT Grand Final $15,600 <font color="green"> Asia Pacific Poker Tour </font> Phillipines $2,500 Korea $2,500 China $2,500 China $15,000 Australia $5,500 <font color="orange"> World Series of Poker </font> Event#1 mixed HE $5,000 Event#3 NLH $1,500 Event#7 PLO $5,000 + Rebuys Event#8 NLH $1,000 + Rebuys Event#13 PLH $5,000 Event#28 NLH $3,000 Event#31 HU NLH $5,000 Event#32 7CS $2,000 Main Event $10,000 <font color="brown"> World Championship of Online Poker </font> 1 NL Hold'em [6-max] $215 2 PL 5-Card Draw $215 3 PL Omaha [6-max] $215 4 2-7 Triple Draw $215 5 NL Hold'em $530 6 PL Omaha w/Rebuys $320 7 Limit Hold'em $215 8 Limit Omaha H/L $530 9 NL Hold'em w/Rebuys $215 10 NL Hold'em Match Play $320 11 Razz $215 12 HORSE $215 13 PL Hold'em $530 14 NL Hold'em $1,050 15 7 Card Stud $320 16 PL Omaha H/L $320 17 NL Hold'em [6-max] $320 18 7 Card Stud H/L $530 19 PL Omaha $530 20 NL Hold'em Triple Shootout $530 21 HORSE $5,200 22 Limit Hold'em $1,050 23 NL Hold'em Main Event $2,600 <font color="brown"> PokerStars weekly tournaments </font> Sunday Million $215-$1050 Sunday Warm-up $215 |

Re: Stars VIP Wild speculation
Pokerboy -
First, San Remo should be only $7400...not $11.8k. The way it is set up now the player gets the expenses included for their 2 land-based tournaments. So the Monte Carlo package is actually worth around $18k I believe and the WSOP and PCA are both worth $12k I believe. If you also include the WCOOP final which is $2600 then anyone choosing Monte Carlo gets a total of $32,600 at Elite. I think you are including the expenses in the package if you want to purchase that. So if I spend E$10k on a WSOP package I am actually getting $12k total or something like that. But doing it this way I think somebody who chooses a bunch of the smaller APPT or EPT tourneys can end up with way more value by racking up travel and expense cash or something. Since I think Stars has a greater incentive to promote their brand new APPT perhaps this ends up being a good thing for them. Not sure they want to give away the store though. I too would like the idea of more flexibility with the land-based tourney options and Scottyy seems somewhat agreeable to some flexibility on this and i think you are on the right track here. Just pointing out that maybe this will end up encouraging people to rack up the travel and expense dollars in the APPT events or something if you do it this way. |

Re: Stars VIP Wild speculation
Stars' site says San Remo is 8,000 Euros, so I'm not sure where you're getting that figure ($7400) from.
I think travel/hotel accommodations should only be included for events that are $8,000 and up. This won't include the WSOP preliminary events OR the smaller APPT events(unless Stars wants to throw a bone). |

Re: Stars VIP Wild speculation
On a completely different note, with the declining dollar, seems like the best value is now the 250 Pound Amazon certificates for 31k fpp. At 2.091 exchange rate its worth about 0.0168. The more the dollar falls the better the value!
