Re: List of eWallets for Canadians
[ QUOTE ]
These are some of the sites that take instadebit. UB True poker Vegas247 & AP Cd poker WSEX [/ QUOTE ] I just went to their website...I think when I first saw this option, I didn't recognize it as an eWallet. They mostly talk about how it allows you to pay online from your chequing account. However, digging deeper, it appears that it DOES act as an eWallet. My first concern is currency exchange. It looks like your account is kept in Canadian dollars, and when you transfer money "Currency conversion will be made at the day's exchange rates established by INSTADEBIT". Anyone out there using this eWallet? |

Re: List of eWallets for Canadians
Just spotted this on the instadebit site, sounds better:
As a Canadian customer you may be transacting with merchants that offer CAD transactions and those that only offer USD transactions. If you receive a payout/refund from both CAD and USD merchants those balances will appear separately for each currency. You can use your CAD balance to transact with CAD merchants and your USD balance for USD merchants. If you wish to withdraw your USD balance to your Canadian bank account, the amount will be converted to CAD at the time of deposit. |

Re: List of eWallets for Canadians
Just had an online chat with an Instadebit rep:
Customer: If I were to transfer $20 via Instadebit to a US merchant, and then later the same day, transfer that same amount back to Instadebit, and then to my bank account, I should end up with exactly the same amount of money I started with? Jaclyn T: Yes. Unless your bank charges you additional fees. |

Re: List of eWallets for Canadians
Just opened an account, took all of 1 minute. Usual name/address, last 4 numbers of SIN was a unique question. Then they get your bank information in step 2 - transit, account #, etc.
Went to VegasPoker247 minutes later, made a $25 deposit with no problems. Only thing I don't like is the fact they said it would be $28.37 out of my account. Sort of leaves me doubting their claim of no currency exchange vig when that rate is about 3 points higher than today's rate, AFAIK. Unfortunately, VP247 makes you wait 48 hours before making a withdrawal, so I can't find out for sure. |

Re: List of eWallets for Canadians
FWIW, I chatted with Pacific rep several days ago and (s)he stated that Instadebit is for funding only.

Re: List of eWallets for Canadians
semi-good news for fellow canadians!
i opened up a citizensbank.ca bank account. i sent them a message, and you can do this with all of their accounts (including their ultimate savings account). outgoing wires are $23. incoming wires are FREE. i wired $100US from my MB account. it took about a week to hit my CB account, however i was only credited 103.20CA. i sent them a message asking where the other $7 went. i'll get back to you guys with an update. P.S. ETF to/from CB to your regular bank account are free. |

Any fees to withdraw back to your bank account? And is it a EFT or a bank wire transfer? I did the Empire Casino reload, they allow moneybookers as a deposit method but not as a withdraw method. Only Instadebit, Ecocard and cheque are withdraw options. |
