Re: Official NBA Season Thread
Local crews are awesome.
Calling it right now, Portland might challenge for the 8th spot. |

[/ QUOTE ] I dunno, my first impression of the Kings tonight was that they're a well-coached team, but I don't know much about Reggie Theus. What's bad about him? On another note, David Harrison is one of five least favorite players ever in the NBA. |

Man, Jazz game was too close for comfort. But, a cool game, so I guess I can appreciate that. I mean, it's a weird day when I was screaming at my TV for the sonics to "DONT PASS TO [censored] DELONTE WEST".

Re: Official NBA Season Thread
Pudge,
Louis Williams is the most ridiculous combo of shooting/athleticism at his size. Simmons made the Monta Ellis comparison, which I agree with, but I think he can be as good as Barbosa. |

Re: Official NBA Season Thread
I am intrigued by the Hawks, so I wanted to give some thoughts...
-Josh Smith is an idiot. Has no real position, drives when he should shoot, shoots when he should drive, seems to have a hard time defending 3's or 4's. Not a fan. -Horford is going to be good. He is the first guy this year who actually took it hard to KG a couple of times and really competed. I see him ending up as a 18/10 guy eventually. The Boozer comparisons are legit. -Shelden LOL. I have no idea how this guy dominated the ACC on a nightly basis. -Acie Law was very impressive. The handle is there, the shot is smooth, and he looked like more of a true point guard than I was expecting. Question! Why is tihs team never talked about in Kobe talks? They were there for the IVerson stuff, were there for the KG talks, and the following are good pieces... Childress JJ Horford Law Zaza J-Smooth Marvin Williams If they could do the deal without giving up JJ, and moved JJ to the 3 after getting Kobe, that would be awesome. The Hawks have more talent than the Bulls. Why is no one talking about this potential trade? |

Re: Official NBA Season Thread
Because they have ownership problems that won't allow anything.
Acie Law is just atrocious. Al Horford is godly. Smith is good. But not max good. |

Re: Official NBA Season Thread
I agree with your thoughts dave, but I actually liked Josh Smith's defensive game alot. He seemed to be very active... would've earned some tommy points if he was a celtic.
childress looks so awkward out there. lue really was crafty, i normally throw that comment out as a joke because "Experience" = "Veteran Leadership" = "Craftiness" which is laughable, however in his case it makes sense... He does little things well, he is a very good backup PG. (Which is like saying he's a subpar starting PG, but w.e, he belongs in the league) Im glad that the Celtics are wasting their injuries on Posey and Scalabrine, too. Its like how I play 2c/4c limit to get bad beats out of the way. |
