well, my thinking is this:

use that variant, along with the multiple clan variant.

two clans of werewolves. each with 4 ppl. sound fair?

No, the roles for this game are pretty much set. The only thing I'm wavering on is whether to allow outside communication between players. I've seen games work very well with or without this, so I'm interested to hear what you guys think.

I'd say go without it (except for between WW obv), although its kinda hard to enforce. Unless someone states in the thread that tehyve been PMd or IMd or whatever, we'd never know

Yeah that would be probably be fair, provided there is a NINJA awesome enough to level the playing field in such a scenario.

WW clan 1 x 4 (can only talk to WW clan 1 members)
WW clan 2 x 4 (can only talk to WW clan 2 members)

2 angels who can talk to each other...
2 seers who can talk to each other...

18 villagers...

It may be hard to do but some spin on this format would be great ....
