Re: Stars 150. TOUGH decision. TT in SB.
I don't know much about how Kuzak plays, but why would he ever have flat-called in that spot with 99? The last thing he wants with 99 is to invite the blinds in, so as to make a three- or four-way pot. If either or both of the blinds call, then Kuzak will be at a positional disadvantage on the flop, because UTG+1 is probably going all-in for his last 800 chips so the blinds can check-raise with anything decent.
Kuzak's play would make sense perhaps if he had a hand like AJs, so that if the pot is three-way he'll have a reasonable idea when he sees the flop of where he stands for the side pot.
To illustrate, suppose Kuzak flat-calls, SB calls and BB folds. Now flop comes Q-8-7 rainbow, SB checks, UTG+1 moves in for 800. If Kuzak has AJ it's an easy fold because he's very likely behind one or both of his opponents. But if Kuzak has 99 then with a flop like this he has little idea whether his hand is good.
