What the hell kind of call was that, 15 yards for the chest bump? That's a terrible call, kicking off from the 15 just is an enormous advantage for Rutgers.

[/ QUOTE ]

That was a weak penalty, very weak.

And as a forewarning, the later in the night this gets the more drunk I will get and the angrier my tone will be. This might be the last thing I say that is positive for USF.

needle,
why isn't Schiano staying committed to the run?

I don't get it...no point in trying to stay balanced if you ask me

Man, I have no idea why he has been so into Mike Teel this year. I haven't seen any improvement from HIM as a QB this year, I have seen an enormouse improvement from Underwood and Britt at CATCHING his passes this year.

It's so hard watching Mike Teel at QB now after Ryan Hart was so efficient as a QB. I think the biggest thing was Schiano saw Rice wear down late last year, but had Leonard to carry the load. As I've said for the majority of the year, the lack of a strong 2nd runner/fullback is hurting Rutgers tremendously this year. Leonard was an enormous plus to this team and helped Rice tremendously. Not to mention Leonard was FASTER than Rice believe it or not.

I don't know if the QB is bad....it's just Rutgers can wear the USF defense out if they just pound away the rest of the game

He was on record when Teel was redshirting his Frosh year that Teel "was a safe QB that did not make mistakes." All I have ever seen out of Teel is mistake football, his best season was as a Freshman when he platooned. His ability to read coverage is very mediocre to bade for a starting QB in a major conference.

I'm not great at reading defense pre-snap but the teams that make alot of changes in their defense pre-snap confuse Teel, ala Cincy last week and USF tonight. I think the only thing that can help Teel out is alot more Film work.

I agree, I just wish our backup RB wasn't fumble happy and is a completely different runner than Rice. Young is a very nimble back and would be better as a change of gear, but Schiano doesn't do it.
