It's very different from cottage cheese. It's solid, for one thing.

Yes, French-Canadian strippers are good. POG get-together in Niagara Falls... ya ya?

I just wikipedia'd queso, and it came back with "cheese"

Am I missing something?

This is why there aren't mexican food restaurants in Toronto.

How's your poutine down there???

That's what I thought

We just eat chili cheese fries instead. And that's why we don't have french-canadian restaurants down here.

the brisket was good

and they have a location a little bit closer to me than the area I usually go shopping in, and I sorta live halfway up the side of a mountain and driving this other way gives a great view of the entire city

so i went and got quiznos (lol)

really wanted sushi- except I wanted good sushi and didnt want to settle for 2nd rate

pulled into a El Pollo Loco but the line was too long

so ended up a quiznos that had some really trailer trashish people working there- baja chicken was pretty good though

on the way back home, less than 5 minutes from home, I saw a qdoba that has to be less than 1 or 2 weeks old

I've never really cared for most of those; California seems to want to screw up food usually for some god-awful reason and turn it all into this horrendous concoction known as "fresh-mex" or something.
I spent a couple of weeks on a customer site in California and ate at 3 different burrito bars and thought they were all mediocre. Not terrible but not worth going out of your way for.
Freebirds I've been known to drive across town for (luckily they've done well and now have 4 austin locations)

You just have bad restaurant selection...if you want Mexican food, you should be going to Mexican restaurants, not mexi-american restaurants. Little hole in the wall dive places where the wait staff barely speaks english and those in the kitchen only speak spanish.

This is true for all places to eat... if you walk into a mexican/japanese/chinese/etc restaurant and there are no mixican/japanese/chinese/etc people eating there, then you are most likely gonna have a bad dining experience if you want authentic food.

If you are up in the Bay Area, let me know. I'll take you to one of several great mexican (or whatever) places. Hell, I may even treat
