i'm crazy and don't give a rats ass about busting out of any tournament. seriously.

Recklessness is important. I sucked in MTT's when I actually tried to survive. Now I take coin flips, raise every hand... and I do well.

i HATE taking coin flips. i love to float, c/r w/ air/draws, overbet, two barrel etc

learning to beat cash games with a +EV LAG style is a huge asset when playing tournaments

I have no problem taking coin-flips, almost never float or 2-barrel, and am extremely uncomfortable c-r'ing with air (really only do it when an aggressive player suddenly starts tilting me, and I don't think it's ever been successful).

How the hell did u learn to beat cash games with a +EV LAG style? NL cash is by far my worst area.

1. Hand reading.
2. (because of 1.) Post flop play, bluff, induce bluff, spot bluff, capitalize from opponents mistakes in post flop plays.
3. Bubble play - (two levels) IM bubble and FT bubbles.

I suck at pf all-in confrontation because my good hands normally don't help up against worse hands.

I didn't mean that you should call, knowing you have a coin flip. But you can call an all in bet with AQ because most people will move in with A2 also, so you are not necessarilly at best a coin flip.

I beat cash games with sLAG style and I have a feeling for smallball play. I think MTT players lack smallball. They know ranges for calling and pushing all in a lot more than I do, but they don't know how to steal those small pots that have "for sale" sign on them.
