i remember that resteal thread.. i read it as i was playing a 10$mtt. im in the bb with 16bbs, the btn open raises, i snap shove and he slowrolls AA.

my results with it since them have been similar.

I had like a 200 dollar BR and playing micro limit holdem. Yuck.

Also I had not had my life changed by such movies as Talladega Nights, Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny and Blades of Glory.

i had about a 30k roll playing tourneys on tribeca, then i moved some cash over to stars for wcoop sats, did alright, but didnt cash in the wcoop at all

then had a sick october

year ago.. was struggling trying to find a game I wanted to play, going back and forth between limit, no limit, sngs, only dabbled in MTTs. near this time I met lilholdem in Indiana had a 40k mtt score, started focusing on MTTs and went on big heater for a few months.. still lived with parents

now.. mtt heater is long over, but swapping with lilholdem and backing is still making me lots of money. on the personal side i've moved into the house I built, drive a sweet lexus and think I met the girl I'm going to marry and couldn't be happier

I was depleting a 1k roll that I got from winning a donkfest on bodog on new years day after making several $50 deposits and playing $15 tourneys. I was horrible at poker, although I thought I was good since i won a tourney. I think I had about $600 left.

Then i found 2+2 in september of '06.

First I won a few 10/45s, then a few 10/180s, then I took down a PS $20 in feb. Finally, took second in the nightly PS 50/50 a few weeks ago.

Roll is up to 5 figs. I am recreational with a full time job and family so it's all gravy.

Thank you 2+2....I am willing to do the commercial.

a year ago I was starting my sophomore year of college after a ridiculously successful first 8 months of the year in poker and enjoying life immensely. I then proceeded to not play poker for the next year, and now I'm starting my junior year of college after not playing poker for a year (well, sorta) and enjoying life immensely. here's to the next year of even less poker!
