I think the stats are enough to justify betting the flop, not calling the minraise.

i guess you guys betting the flop are just a contrast to my style, but i'd bet here about 10% of the time
also, do you guys have any idea how many 50 hand samples i've run 50/30 over? just bc he's somewhat more likely to be a fish doesn't mean we can quantify him as one if he hasn't done anything else noteworthy. again, i am stating that i believe the preflop stats are meanlingless, and when i say meaningless, i don't mean meaningless, but i mean they have such a small meaning that we shouldn't take them into account when deciding the relative value of our poker hand on this board in this situation against this opponent- the reason is because the preflop stats at such a small sample are much less likely to tell us things about his postflop play. that said, i would say check >>>>>>>>>>>>&g t;>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>bet here, and i'm not exaggerating, and i guess it is possibly just my style like i said- however, i wouldn't hold back from saying that imo betting is close to horrible. again, rip me if you want with your math wizardness, but i'm talking about pokerness here people, and i'm aejones so i obv know wha ti'm talkng about. |

mcgipp:
do you know how many hand samples you have NOT run at at 50/35? Not to mention it's always been my assumption that unknown = donk, esp. if we play the limit a lot |

sure, but what are the arguements that that matters?
i'm confused, are people that saying it does matter also saying it correlates to his postflop play? that high vpip and pfr is more likely to mean donk? and if they are saying that, are they saying he can bluff more? raise with a Q more? |

for example, if someone you have never seen before in your life sits down in your 3/6 NL game, buys in for $600 and 3 bets your button open on his very first hand, can we comment on whether it's more likely he's an aggressive light-reraiser or that he has a super premium holding? [/ QUOTE ] assuming hes rring light after 1 hand is going to lead to you spewing a whole lot more when youre wrong than making up for it in ev when youre right. i think? |

most definitely cbet flop, call the c/r, and call the turn. if he has you beat w/e. man this forum is full of nits - 35 hands isn't much but it's enough. you'll see OESDs, TPs, and bluffs here plenty often.
