[/ QUOTE ] by all accounts, it seems that most people feel this guy is awful. anyone know where he gets his $$$? [/ QUOTE ] There is at least one well respected poster who has referred to Crazy Mike as a "genius". I think he might be the only one though. Also this is the hand I thought he "played well" although it might in fact just be a random spew. I just say he played it well because I so rarely see him bluff. I suspect this is because it is hard to bluff or semibluff when you flop a pair or better almost every hand. Mike raises UTG 5 handed Roc coldcalls button, one of the blinds calls Flop AA7 with flush draw Mike bets, Roc raises, blind folds, Mike calls Turn 4 putting two flush draws Mike c/r, Roc folds and Mike shows J8o. Of course Roc fishes his cards from the muck to show he had 98 and Mike had the best hand To be honest with J8 bluffing here is probably not the greatest against Roc because he can easily 3bet a semibluff. With Q8 calling down is better once we get to the turn but J8 is closer I guess. Of course just folding the flop and preflop are probably better. The point is that he actually did something imaginative which surprised me. |

I saw him playing 1/2 on LATB and he is certainly horrible at full ring, but ran like god.

you obv don't know the MrGatorade theorem, if the flop is paired go for turn check raise, regardless of holding. he does this every time, i'm surprised you didn't know.
also in the hand you mentioned, if the button had an ace, wouldn't he 3 bet mike's preflop opening range all day? the button's likely holding is a flush draw or a bluff. if he had called the turn check raise and then raised a river in which one of the two flushes came, mike would angrily muck his J high and proclaim, "EVERY RIVER!". i need to move to san diego. |

[/ QUOTE ] hahahaha, does he say this online too? This is one of his favorite phrases on the strange days when he is flopping pairs only 75% of hands and not winning every one. |

You know, there are lots of 40s at Commerce all the time. Sometimes they have some bad players in them.
