Minor League homer.
Sitting with two buddies, and the one leans over to the other and goes " This guy is gonna hit a homer this at bat and its gonna bounce off the right field foul poll" Other guy goes, "nacho's are on me if that happens" Third pitch the guy hits a homer off the right field foul pole. Buddy number two does not say a word, just goes and buys the other guy a beer and nachos. Ken |

July 14th, 2006: Dodgers at Cardinals, Pujols hits a walk-off HR in the 14th. Best home run I've ever seen in person. [/ QUOTE ] I was in attendance for this, the ball landed not too far from where I was in the left field bleachers. I liked our chances once the Dodgers put in Odalis Perez. Of course there's still Pujols vs. Lidge, Edmonds in 04 (which I saw live also) and Rolen vs. Clemens in 04. |

and the glenallen hill shot on the roof in left in wrigley. [/ QUOTE ] Glenallen's Monster Shot I was at that game sitting in the left field bleachers. He had just committed and error the top half of the inning and everyone was razzing him after it. He sure shut us up fast. |

My favorite that hasn't been mentioned is Bellhorn's to give them the lead in game 1 of '04. Off the foul pole after hammering the pitch before it 30 feet foul.
Video Evidence (I couldn't figure out how to link straight to the videos because MLB likes to use their own player-- so heres a whole website of 2004 world series goodies) |

Since the thread has degenerated into "Favorite HR stories", here's mine:
Sat in the bleachers at Fenway to see a Sox/Angels game in the mid-80's. We arrived in the middle of the first. It was already 1-0 Angels. We were told that Reggie hit one in the top half, landed a few rows in front of where we were sitting. In the top of the second, about a dozen college kids came and sat in our row (Sox games weren't always sell-outs). They were distressed to hear that they missed a Reggie HR. Most of them were students from NY, and one had specifically come to the game hoping to see a Reggie HR. About the seventh inning, the PA announced last call for beer. Half the kids hurried to the concession stand under the bleachers. While they were gone, Reggie hit a towering shot which landed just a few rows in front of us. The kids emerged from the tunnel, holding all the beer they could carry, asking, "What was all that noise while we were gone?" We told them the one thing they didn't want to hear. |

Pujols vs. Lidge
no rick roll, promise kkthx HUGE Cardinals fan, and this was great to just watch Pujols destroy this mans future. Close 2nd as memorable for ME, was when I was younger Eric Karros hit one at Busch Stadium and my dad caught it. Although he wasn't a Cardinal, still pretty cool for me when I was young. |

As a Jays fan, it has to be Carter's World Series clincher off of Wild Thing.
