Re: BBV: Help me settle an Issue
[ QUOTE ]
I have a very similar relationship with a buddy of mine who constantly stakes me in donkaments. Let me be the first to say that anything you give is totally a gift on your part and not necessary, a good friend would play for free (I'm sure he would have). Still, be a nice guy and ship him 1k. [/ QUOTE ] exactly, just think if it was the other way around, you would be happy right if he gave you 1k? You wouldn't think: "what a nit" |

Re: BBV: Help me settle an Issue
This is very different from a staking arrangement because you don't lose anything you can't find someone to stake. You needed your friend a lot more than he needed you.
He might have done this for free, but you offered to pay base on the hourly rate, and that's what you need to do. How much nittier can you be? Your friend kept you in the tourny and tripled up, and now you're trying to short him? |

Re: BBV: Help me settle an Issue
Quit trying to justify yourself to all the people screaming "10% you greedy bastard!"
Ask him what he thinks is fair so he feels like he's getting a say in the matter. He'll probably mention less than you are thinking so just bump him up to what you think is fair, around the 7.5% and everyone will walk away feeling a winner. If he demands 10% you've learned something about your buddy. |

Re: BBV: Help me settle an Issue
you told him 10% of your hourly, so I'd give him that. You seem to be looking for justification for giving him something else.
Just man up and pay the money. |

Re: BBV: Help me settle an Issue
zomg THE WHOLE POINT IS HE IS A FRIEND AND FRIENDS DO [censored] THATS FRIENDLY, NOT FOR 2K. Yeah you might not of won it if he didn't play for you, but you could of easily found another person to do it for you. If he gave you a lot of chips and stuff MAYBE 5% but if he just held the fort down $50- $500

Re: BBV: Help me settle an Issue
So you won $18,000 and you've posted a thread here over whether to give him $900, $1,800, or somewhere in between?
What a goddamned nit. |
