Default Re: People collect casino chips wtf?

[ QUOTE ]
Just found some sites to do with collecting casino chips. When I was younger I collected all kinds of stuff - stamps, coins, football stickers, Garbage Pail Kids - so I do really understand the satisfaction of tracking stuff down, building a collection, cataloguing it. But this could be an expensive hobby! Still, I can see how being a trader could be profitable:

1 Buy chip for $5
2 Sell chip to collector for $7.50
3 ???
4 Profit

There are limited edition chips, which might attract a collector interest. I remember finding a $25 WPT commemorative chip in a pot at Commerce, numbered, from a limited edition of 250.
