My pfr is like 13% and I usually limp this (though I don't think raising is OMG HORRIBLE and I raise 98s more often than not).

Kit: bernie said a lot of what I would have said, and a lot of the rest is going on in that 55 thread in micros right now. Suffice it to say that I don't make this raise unless I expect to get significant postflop advantages from doing so which will not be the case in all games and is not clearly the case in OP's game.
