Vista is a real pain. To get HUD to work I had to turn off my UAC (user access control). The PokerAce forum recommended that iirc since we couldn't figure out another work around. GL!

There is no reason to have UAC enabled on your comp anyway unless you plan on more than one person using the comp regularly and you want to have files or programs that can only be accessed from each user login.

If you only have one user login, you might as well disable the function.

I finally just uninstalled it and reinstalled 1.6, and nows its working. but im still tilted for today, ive spent 5k in the last 2 days its time to get back to work soon.

I just bought a new laptop that will be here in a couple weeks, and it will have Vista. What should/shouldn't I do to make sure everything works correctly?

I have Ultimate on my PC and laptop. The only things I have had to do is turn off the UAC, but I only did that recently because I was having a problem converting my PT database to Postgres. Other than that I think it runs nice.

I haven't used any versions other than Ultimate, so I can't comment on them.
