so at what point do people make lay downs that should not be made under normal circumstances because of gut feelings. (if ever)

Don't go with gut feelings, because they are often wrong. Instead, try to rationalise why you have those gut feelings, and what they mean. E.g. was there something strange about his timing which you believe to be a tell? Do you have enough history with this opponent to know that he would only play top set this way?

why? out of 40k or so hands this is the only time i considered folding a set on a board like this... and i didn't fold anyways. Its not like i'm saying omg i only have bottom set and theres a raise.. jeez i gotta fold.

not getting away from bottom set in single-raised pots on boards like this with 100bb is a big leak!

Hattifnatt, is this some kind of leveling to confuse us n00bs, or are you serious?

And those of you who simply take the generic view "I don't have the nuts and got checkraised so I fold" are making a mistake IMO.

[/ QUOTE ]

anyone who thinks i'm taking this view either didn't read the thread or has horrible reading comprehension.

this is the most retarded thread ever, guy can have AA KK AQ 45d 56d 46d AKd AJd maybe ATd. could even have AKo, JJ maybe KQs.

please get it in. Guy checked a flop, you donked a draw heavy board and after everyone else folded he c/rs this isn't exactly a strong line.
