I can not believe no one has suggested Miracleman! Alan Moore wrote the first 10 I believe and then was followed by Neil Gaiman. [/ QUOTE ] No one's mentioned it because it's been out of print for a long time. I do intend to read it if it's ever reprinted. |

Bone by Jeff Smith. give it a shot, despite it's simple appearance.

history of violence [/ QUOTE ] Just don't rent the movie, whatever you do. I'm no aficionado of this genre, but I happened to pick up a couple issues of The Elephantmen and really liked them, tho I dunno if they're graphic novels. |

Well since this thread started I read Hush volume 1 (of 2) and Sandman: Endless Nights (I already read the entire regular series), both from the library. Then I got into Hush v2 and there was a page ripped out, so I have to get another copy.
Hush is just okay so far I'd say, too many annoying close panels where you can't tell who hit who. Endless Nights is more cinematic in its look, big frames with a lot of stuff going on in them. I liked it, but I don't know that there's much of it that will be particularly memorable for me as time passes. |

If you read Hush (which I think is total crap), you should read Batman - "Death in the Family" first.
