aejones may be a dick at times, but hes pretty damn good at poker.

The latter's relevance to the former is negligible.

The former's relevance to the latter is also negligible.

[/ QUOTE ]

That is more debatable. You are a dick -> you make people tilt and play bad against you -> you rule at poker.

What I was trying to say is that Ansky appears to be justifying your dickishness, P5-style, by you being good at poker. As if that made it ok to be an [censored].

The latter wasn't up to debate at that point. Edit: I guess I missed this last part....never you mind.

Ummm I never excused anything...

anyway, having met aejones he isnt an awful human being.

to be friends with ansky just let him bluff you out of a big potttt

Sacrificing 900 bucks to lock up your chip EV seems like a great deal considering your situation. You should feel good, not guilty. Your thinking about diminishing EV returns at certain bankroll levels is right, they should have charged you more for this luxury.

I went deep in this too and was surprised you were begging for a deal so much, but whatv. gg

I would have voted for a 15 way chop.

[/ QUOTE ]

2 Years ago in Vegas during the WSOP we were down to 19 people in the 2nd chance tourney and everyone agreed to an even chop.

True story.

And you agreed to this?

It was an even chop 19 ways, and I had like half the average stack, and blinds were really high so I barely had any fold equity. Also, it was like 3-4 AM or something and I had been playing that day since noon and was a bit tired.

p.s. It wasn't 19, I think it was more like 16 or something. There definitely wasn't a "bubble situation I should've taken advantage of" type thing going on.

So, after reading the thread, aejones is right with regards to his philosophy to dealmaking, but, as he does far too often, he acts like an arrogant [censored] about it.

he might be very good at poker, and i often agree with his poker posts, but i rarely if ever agree with anything he thinks about life and how to live it.

On pokerstars how do you go about making a deal? I mean I know the different deals that can be made, but is there always an admin present to oversee it?

I guess if the deal is actually favorable to you, then that's one thing. I probably would have turned it down and tried to run over all the tired people and pissed them all off.

If your stack is half the average, this probably doesn't work so well.
