Lastchance: think of all the players that almost never get lynched, and live a long time in games. There's a fair sized list of them. Do you think it's just an accident that they don't get lynched very often?

[/ QUOTE ]
I believe this is because village sucks.

[/ QUOTE ]

And that is an attitude that needs to disappear.

As long as it's easy & acceptable for people to blame the village for being dumb, then they will never consider their own actions, and why they got lynched, and why bad things happen.

Sometimes, there's an act of collective stupidity. I've been a part of those. I've maybe even encouraged a few. But most of the time, the person spouting the "LOL village" crap has brought it on themselves, and won't ever learn why.

Maybe a mod can retitle this thread, "lastchance and Zurvan arguing about village play, while CPFB tries to learn from their poo flinging"

[/ QUOTE ]
Yup, that's pretty much what this thread is.

[/ QUOTE ]

I feel pretty good.

I started out arguing village FPS with shorty.

I moved on to Bobo, then Luckay, briefly Neil, and now Lastchance.

Nothing has changed. If anything, things are worse. But, the other stopped arguing with me.

Let me take Luckay for example.

I know he "brings lynches" upon himself as a villager. And it's bad, yes. But you don't have to lynch when he does it, especially because he NEVER does it as a wolf. Yet you always do. Always. It's insane.

Lynch people on what makes them more likely to be wolves.

And yes, sometimes the people who get lynched deserve it.

However, I believe most villager lynches are caused by village sucking, not because villagers asked for it.

Traz, I'm pretty sure that's accurate. I haven't seen Luckay BRING a lynch on himself as a wolf (where there wasn't it before).

Think about what happens once you stop lynching players for retarded wolf-friendly plays. Hint, they start doing them as wolves.

Seriously, this is so stupid. I can't comprehend the stupidness. All of this is so minor that you shouldn't even be thinking about it. Learn to find wolves.

Traz, metagame. Until Luckay starts making those weird-ass plays as wolf, just don't lynch him. If he starts doing it as a wolf, then lynch him. It's not that hard. You should never lynch a 90+% villager, and when luckay's insane, he's a 90+% villager.

As for the paragraph I'm quoting, yes, this isn't that important compared to finding wolves, but I think it's a valuable enough weapon, and it's something to think about, especially when you can use it to find wolves.

Note: For the purposes of this conversation, I define FPS as anything which deliberately messes with wolf night-kills.

[/ QUOTE ]

Note: This has nothing to do with the definition of FPS.

Probably true. Should rename the title to like protecting the seer. Or something.

I am of two minds about this thread.

Neither is sane.
