Ha, same crap as me, I took only 1 week off and lost a few lbs, it sucks!!!

My legs are sore as hell from that first workout after the break. Managed to hobble to the gym for the second half of the split.

Deadlifts
10x225
5x275

5x315

Standing military

5x155 (little help from legs)

Bent over rows

Hammer curls

Ab crunches

Upright Rows

Definately going to need a day off already, I'm really sore after that break.

Just started loading creatine today. Current weight 192lbs (after 7lbs loss from vacation, I've regained some), I hope to reach 200 before the end of the month. I'm taking it 4xDay in 5g servings mixed into my shakes (is this ok, or should I take it seperately?) Also, should I take the same amount during the loading phase but on rest day? After this week, I'll be doing 3 weeks at 10g/day, I'm assuming this is the same for workout/rest days as well.

Yesterdays workout (cut short due to time and my quads still being in a huge amount of pain from last thursday/friday, took sat. off)

DB Incline Bench
2x6x70DBs
6x75

DB Flat Bench
2x6x75
6x80

Skullcrushers
2x10x75 (really difficult for some reason, maybe I didn't take as much rest as I usually do between bench/skullcrushers)

Abs (heavy weighted crunch machine)

Chest Flys (DBs) Flat

3x10x25DBs (this was alot less weight then I thought I would be able to do, first time doing this exercise

Dips

Haven't updated in a while, I'm still doing pretty much the same things and progressing nicely. Weighed in today at 198lbs after having dropped down to 187 3 weeks ago (missing a week of workouts and eating poorly).

I've loaded creatine and am currently in my 10th day of using it, I feel good. My knee feels alot better (I wasn't able to really squat before) and I've been working hard on my legs.

Current PRs

Bench 275
Squat 335
Deadlift 425

I'll post pictures again once I reach 200lbs as that was my first goal.

If by the end of the summer I can get my maxes up to 315/5x315/495 I'll be very satisfied, guess I'm writing this up to make sure I keep at it! [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Still hovering at 198-199lbs, have yet to see 200. I've dropped my caloric intake a bit in order to play some more
poker (not as much time to eat) and I feel if I keep this up I might actually start getting fat. I'm just going to go for LBM from now on and maybe 3000cals/200g protein per day.

On the positive side, I've hit a ton of PRs in the past few weeks and I feel alot stronger. I'm doing fewer reps at higher weights as opposed to what I was doing when I started out (mostly 3x10s or 5x5s). I'm doing alot of singles and this seems to be helping.

Recent PRs
Power clean (today) 4x245 and a single at 265.
Deadlift (earlier this week) 1x445 (with belt) 2x415 (raw)
Snatch grip deadlift (today) 5x325
Clean and Jerk (today) 225, but my core felt shaky with the weight overhead
Back squat (last weekend) 5x275, going to be doing a bunch of heavy singles as soon as I grow some balls, should be interesting.

I'll be doing some heavy singles on the BB bench next week too and I'll see if I can break my current PRs. Managed 4 sets of 5x225 wednesday which I was very happy with.


I also missed a deadlift attempt at 465 (belt/straps) which I felt I could have hit had the velcro on my belt not detached mid-lift and almost left my back in shambles. Luckily I was alright and just a little sore the next day.
