Because first is 14.10% and 2nd is 7.10% of the total prize pool. It isn't always like that, the %s depend on the amount of entrants. Usually first is at least close to 2x 2nd though, it's pretty standard.

I'm 30th in the 50+5 right now and that tourny is playing a whole lot better poker than the 200+15

fgators that is just unreal bad in this tournament. these guys don't fold in the early stages (if at all). and 10x bb wtf

i have just over 20k, i lost a 16k race AK &lt; TT and i can't get this one guy to fold anything ever
