you've folded AA preflop 5 times? definition of balla

edit: I play NL100 and 200 on FTP and we play extremely similar styles, could you PM a shot of your position stats, you seem to be playing better out of the blinds. after comparing stats, other than some BB SD stats, we're literally exactly the same, very odd.

Ian;

Why are you playing 100NL tonight?

[/ QUOTE ]

played a session of 2006m and obv lose inf...8 allins for full stacks or more with them having 2 outs lose...1 allin for 4.5 buyins with him having 2 outs lose. About to start up a 200 session though because I'm playing 20k hands between yesterday and today.

I fold AA because no pair no draw is the new AA and AA is the new something involving not winning so I fold it. Maybe misclick folds though or folded to me like curtains said.

I am not actually doubting the authenticity of your success but it is just so far beyond me how a 20/12 player can be this successful

I don't understand your concepts here?

Most of the players that are the biggest winners would be the ones that are more aggro preflop than their opponents, right?

Obv the conditions are:
1) He is much better than his opponents post flop
2) He puts them into really tough decisions and makes the right decisions when put into tough decisions himself

It is very hard to make a profit when set-mining, but when seeing a lot of flops and outplaying people postflop, it seems like this would be the best way to make a huge profit.

Yeah...why are we surprised that IanB is doing so well? TheProd outlines the 2 things that would make this clearly a money making style. I am not surprised to see someone at 20/12 with a ptbb/100 around 5.

Agreed;

Also, I changed my style to this around 40k hands ago, and over the last ~25k(after getting better at the style), I am at 6.8BB/100...I tried this at 200NL and got killed, but obviously if I got better at postflop play than the 200 regulars then I could show the same profits. The thing is, it is much easier to lose money, but you can also approach the higher limits of what is possible to win. Once you move higher I think the 12/10 types start to die out and get moved off too many hands and cannot win, but the 18/12 and 17/11 types start to dominate because they get better and better at the style..
