Brag: I havent been to my Abstract Algebra 2 class in 2 months (since the first week of classes) because Im too cool for school and im such a baller


Beat: There's a test coming up and I dont know what we've been learning because I havent gone to class


Variance: i just found out the test is tomorrow and since its a math phd program, everyone is asian (not like asian american, asian from china and barely speak any english) so I cant ask anyone in the class what we've been doing

variance: they must speak enough english to communicate the materials covered in class, unless you go to class in asia. something tells me if you ask any of them what was covered in class they'll have no problem telling you.

gild nailed it. going to grad school means that you've decided to devote the period of time to study of the subject. if you can't even make it to the few hours of class a week, let alone the hours of study/research time, you clearly don't want to be there. it's not like daut needs to scam the stipend money to get by.
