What does "couples matching" mean in this context? [/ QUOTE ] When you finish medical school, you have to go to a residency to learn your specialty. The "match" is a service by which applicants provide a list of programs they want to go to in and this is matched up against the programs' lists of applicants they want to hire. Couples match means you are linking your match list to your spouse/sig. other - the matching service tries to fudge the results so you end up in the same geographic area. Otherwise you go to the program highest on your list that also wants you.
