Play 10K hands (time is limited and I only 2-table)

Get decently rolled for 25NL (I started in Jan with 72$ and am at 404$ today)

Play against Germans and Frenchmen as much as possible.

does anyone accually have attainable goals???? LOL

I agree. Are 5+ptBB/100 winrates possible at NL100 and higher when playing 8+ tables? I'm sure you guys are playing that many tables if youre also going for 50k hands and such.

My goal is attainable. I just want to have a winning month, whch I have done in 5 of the last 6, [censored] February.

I agree. Setting goals to achieve things that are seriously beyond your control is a little silly.

It sounds as if many are saying "My goal is to run good this month".

It amazes me how most here don't understand winrates and variance to a decent degree. They like to think that the nice run they went on last month is their true win rate and sustainable, even if it was only 30,000 to 40,000 hands.

I've had 50,000 hand streaks where I was break-even. And I am a decent winner in the long run.

Daladiesman Calleddownlight and 1pokerboy who are talking too ? I haven't found only one post talking about a higher than 5PTBB/100 over more than 15k hands in a month.

Furthermore running good is a good goal IMO

I want to update my goal:

I just want to make $8,000.

I don't care how I make it, where it comes from, what my stats or winrates or hands are, or whether or not I suck out for the entire $8k (actually that would be preferred).

So there.

Okay I understand your point of view, you are not talking about the fact that I can not reach a 4.5PTBB/100 @NL200 more about the fact that's even if I'am a 4.5PT/100 winner over the long run that does only mean that I could win 0 or 9 over 30k hands, right ? And furthermore I haven't played the 500k hands of NL200 I need to have a good estimation of what my true winrate should be.

You've got a point.

OTOH this thread is made in order for everybody to set some goals. Most of us simply can't play more than 40k hands per month and it is steal important to set some wr goals even if reaching those goals won't mean anything from a math point of view. I well aware and I think everybody here is well aware that 8 or 2 ptbb/100 over 20k hands means nothing. But having a pt/100 goal helps everybody to stay focus.

Let's be realistic people. I mean I can see $8k, but that extra $2.02 is gonna break you.
