Re: A Thought I Just Had (psych/theory)
I thought emotional stability, detachment and non results orientated thinking were more or less a requirement to be a winner in HSNL. I mean, everyone's human but for the most part I thought HSNLers were thinking the right way >95% of the time. There are 2 things to winning in poker- having the ability to make the correct decision and actually making the correct decision. I suppose some people come up with the right answer more and some act on their correct decisions more.
2nd post is great too, interesting read, nice bump. |

[ QUOTE ] EDIT: is there some irony here I`m not getting? [/ QUOTE ] 99.9% of the people who go through a significant cold streak are unable to maintain this logic. So no, it's not as simplistic as you are trying to make it. [/ QUOTE ] He's not trying to make it simple, it is simple. Sounds like the consensus is it's tough to always do/follow, etc., which it totally different than being simple/hard. |

[ QUOTE ] This is basically waht gigabet said in his sucess/failure post. might want to reread it. [/ QUOTE ] Could you give a link? [/ QUOTE ] I swear you're a gimmick acct, but just in case ur not... this is the Giga post Edited to ask: [ QUOTE ] It took me about one and a half years to be comfortable playing against any player in the world in a single table tourney. Maybe in a little over a year I’ll be able to say the same thing about cash games. Maybe it’ll be longer. Maybe it won’t happen. [/ QUOTE ] Having been on HSP and in the biggest online games do u feel any different now? |

You can still get mad in the short run and be justified because I expect to run like God.
