Reginald Barclay - prevent a force field from appearing on Deanna Troi's door. [/ QUOTE ] There's no need for this; if there is a force field on Deanna's door, she can't be night killed, but can still peek. Also, we can't assign actions to specific persons, as they might be baddies. |

Re: Star Trek: The Next Generation (GAME THREAD)
Ugh, seer-borg's. Oh well, if Deanna is borg, we'll kill her d2. If Lwaxana is borg, Deanna peeks Lwaxana n2 and we kill her.
Wow, this is insane +EV for us. Ok, I completely agree. Let's get this Riker-Lwaxana-Deanna-Worf masonry going early. Lwaxana, do not peek Deanna until n2 and she's cleared by Worf. Riker, I don't really care, you're not that powerful anyway, but you should probably do the same. Other masons, realize that your mason could equal Borg. If Beverly Crusher gets killed n1, we can probably say that Wesley is Borg. That's a pretty huge advantage right there. |

[ QUOTE ] Unless the borg get super lucky & find a doctor real quick, then I don't see the problem. Hopefully a seer isn't borg. [/ QUOTE ] I'm sure that probably exactly one seer is borg. [/ QUOTE ] Wrong I was the one who asked this question: [ QUOTE ] Question: The 5 Borg were picked specifically as to what character they would impersonate, (not random), right? I assigned each character a number from 1-21 with Worf being 1, and then I selected 5 random numbers between 2-21. Those 5 numbers became the 5 Borg. Then I assigned players randomly to those roles. [/ QUOTE ] This is very important, it means that the Borg could be anything. They could be the 2 doctors and 2 seers. They could be all 5 computer techies. They could be 5 vanillaborg. (lol, I just coined the term vanillaborg) These are the assumptions we should make: 1) At least one computer techie who is on Starfleet side 2) Anybody who is DIRECTLY ordered to do something will do it - because otherwise, we will lynch them if that action is failed to be carried out |

[ QUOTE ] STRATEGY POST: Deanna Troi, come out RIGHT NOW. Worf, "kill" her tonight. Both doctors, protect Deanna Troi. For the rest of the game, both doctors protect Deanna Troi. Reginald Barclay - prevent a force field from appearing on Deanna Troi's door. The two mason'd computer techies (Miles O'Brien & Wesley Crusher) - check the computer logs "to see all actions that appeared the previous night" This strategy post was thought out very quickly within ~10 minutes, so it may or may not have a fatal flaw to it, or it may be brilliant [/ QUOTE ] Uh... Am I missing something, or isn't it possible we dont' have any doctors? Losing Deanna would be bad. I think Worf is the only person we can be sure of is village, right? [/ QUOTE ] We won't lose Deanna if she isn't borg but yeah I guess we can't guarantee we have a doctor, although it's very unlikely we don't have at least 1. |

Otherwise, the BORG computer techie(s) puts a force field on her door, therefore Worg will not be able to "kill" her. If Worg "fails" to kill her that day, and if the doctors "fail" to go to her (I assume that the doctors are informed when their action is blocked via force field?) then we can assume that Reginald Barclay is a borg, under my plan. |

Re: Star Trek: The Next Generation (GAME THREAD)
LOL. If a Borg tries to force field Deanna, we computer log them d3 and get a free lynch kill for nothing, and the Borg still can't kill her n1.
So, well maybe we assign two computer techs to take down the force field around deanna's door. Perfect. I also want a tech or two protecting traz every turn. |

Re: Star Trek: The Next Generation (GAME THREAD)
Troi had better not come out. Then the borg, assuming they have a computer access guy (I havent done the math but I think the probability is high) just prevent her room from being FF'd and kill her.

Re: Star Trek: The Next Generation (GAME THREAD)
If a Force field is erected around Deanna, Borg don't kill her. If a Force field isn't erected around Deanna, docs save.
If Deanna gets killed n1, we can assume both doctors are borg. This makes personnel file checking absolutely awesome. This is nice, real nice. |

[/ QUOTE ] 2 doctors both have a 100% chance of success of preventing death on anybody. It's worth tying down both doctors to get perfect information from this seer, I -think-. (have not worked out exact details yet) |

Re: Star Trek: The Next Generation (GAME THREAD)
Fnord, we have doctors. They need to be used. We don't care if a force field is erected or not. If it is, Deanna's saved for one more turn, and Worf "kills" her then (which also clears her as good, I think).
If it isn't, we'll have one doctor at the scene reviving Deanna Troi. |
