There is a difference, but not enough I don't think. I'd start at 77 I guess.

Sounds about right.

I know I have a lot to learn before getting to the level of ZBT, Jur, Ansky, etc, but I have to understand why villian isn't pushing any 2 here.

Without considering antes, villian's M is a little better than 3. Add in antes, he may be below 3. Add in the fact that it's 7 handed instead of 9 or 10, his Q is considerably low. AND the blinds are hitting him the next 2 hands, making his stack lower than 26000 with antes (M of around 2).

Why wouldn't he push any 2 here? Because he's UTG and so many players left? Help me understand.

you pretty much answered your own question. It's silly to push 23o 84o J2o etc here, with so many left to act. You're better off pushing blind the next time you are sb, button, CO and you are opening the action.

This is a no brainer call with 88. I think for a bit with 77 and more with 66, but call both. 55 it's tough, and depending on my attitude/gambleometer/luckbox I'll go either way. I think 33 and 22 are clear folds, and 44 will play only if I'm particularly frisky.

I'm all for gambling, but 22 is just icky, especially with others yet to act.

I'd say 55 is where the borderline starts. I fold 22-44 pretty easily. 55-66 I stop to think and 77+ I think it becomes an easy call.

Chances are that villain is not the typical 2+2er calculating his M and pushing any 2.

Givebn the fact that this was not FT and so many behind yet to act, it would be an easy fold for me. I would hate to have to lay it down to a reraise, 20% of stack to much to speculate IMO.

With an M of 2.5 and a 7 handed table, I'm not pushing any 2, but damn close to it.
