Ten: Have you taken all the shortcuts available to you?

Max: A great life is one you think is great.

Ha ha ha. I was just being a wise ass. I'm sure I'm fine. Never had a complaint. But that's a question better suited for someone on the receiving end of my handiwork.

All of these suggestions seem to maximize $$, like being a star athlete, or being a white male.

Or not live with no $$, like living in first world country.

I think the key to a great life is just don't take anything too seriously. The people I notice who are over-the-top serious about stuff (politics, job, religion, etc) are the most unhappiest.

actually listening to those who are older, wiser, and more experienced than me instead of having to experience and figure out everything for myself

that would have saved me a lot of grief, but on the other hand i learn and understand things better once i've done them myself so who knows? at any rate it couldn't have hurt to listen once in a while

El Diablo,

Being 6'6" has definitely been a plus. I would not want to be taller as there is a sliding scale to such tallness. I have been around many that are taller than me and it's not that easy unless you are a premier athlete. I'd say 6'7" is a decent cut off where the scale starts to slide down.

I thought about this thread as I walked past one of our local crazy guys on the beach just now. Tall, good-looking white guy - 40ish. I was thinking he could easily be executive material, if he didn't mutter to himself all day. It's almost like there has to be something wrong in the head with someone who looks like that for them NOT to succeed. It's kind of sad really that somoene who looks a certain way practically has life handed to them. We as humans aren't nearly as evolved as we think we are sometimes.
