I can't believe you guys are giving the Pokerroom.com guy such a hard time. He made a very reasonable post concerning the rake changes, along with plans to make corrections where needed.

[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, he came right out and said they raised the rake while at the same time designing it to screw you on player points. I mean he said it. How could you possibly be mad with him admitting the site was greedy and screwing bonus users? Honestly, you guys slay me.

Oh, edited to add, I cashed out last night after my initial deposit three days ago. Bonus became unsustainable for a $1/2 player.

I'm not boycotting Pokerroom for the same reason I'm not boycotting Rolls Royce - in order to boycott a business, you have to want to purchase their product at the prevailing price.

They just raised their price, and so I withdrew my money and will now shop elsewhere.

FWIW & contrary to your post.

The Poker Room News link
http://www.pokerroom.com/pokah/news/news.php
seems to havea curious omission: mention of the new rake structure.

How do you get that, out of this?

3. The overall drop in player points received is an effect we did not anticipate, intend nor did it surface during our extensive analysis. The Player Points system will therefore undergo an overhaul to adjust to the new structure and distribute more points.

Pokerroom has consistently handled PR and customer service at a level few other sites manitain (Stars, for example). Keep up the good work.

[/ QUOTE ]

this is absolutely incorrect

I don't know how you can possibly relate PokerRoom support to other well-respected customer service sites like Stars/TruePoker

No, it is true.

[/ QUOTE ]

Then you suck at poker.

[/ QUOTE ]

Typical pathetic 2+2 post. I dont know 1 player who has beat the 2/4. Dutch Boyd bragged on his site that when he was a prop he could beat any level in the casino except 2/4. Are there any props out there beating 2/4 in a live casino? Did not think so.
BTW I will never play at pokeroom. Rake should be going down, not up.

[/ QUOTE ]

Typical, pathetic, I know it all, newbie 2+2er response. If you don't think 2/4 is beatable you are not good at poker.

Im playing PLO 50, and they are maxing rake at $1 a pot for 10 people. Most pots are $60-70. Is that worse than before? It seems like it might be better.

[/ QUOTE ]

yeah, i play plo50 too and the same thought crossed my mind. and it should be easier to accumulate poker points because of the higher rake from small pots...

...but for (low) limit hold'em players the new rake-system seems like a sheer rip off.
