Re: \"Official\" WSOP on ESPN thread (11/7) (2006 WSOP TOC)
[ QUOTE ]
lol at dannemans comment about wanting matusow to win so he could give it back to the pokr community. [/ QUOTE ] LOL at Dannenmann walking 20 feet away from the table to call a friend and tell him about check-raising Howard Lederer on the flop with nothing. LOL at Dannenmann desperately seeking attention by attacking Hellmuth at the 2005 TOC final table. LOL at Dannenmann being one of the worst poker players I have ever seen on ESPN's WSOP coverage. |

Is it just me or does Daniel Negreanu suck? [/ QUOTE ] Got the very same feeling. First he underbets his straight against Black and then the "Do you have kings?"-blalablabla when he pays off Sexton and then claims that this was the "ONLY" hand he could put him on. So far two screw-ups and I am not even through with this episode on video. Guess there is more to come.... |

Re: \"Official\" WSOP on ESPN thread (11/7) (2006 WSOP TOC)
So how many heads-up hands did they show? Maybe 5? Out of 300+ over 6+ hours? And they didn't even mention how long these guys had been playing for.
It looks like Daniel got tired and donked off his chips at the end. But you can't really tell, since ESPN showed <2% of hands and they portray things however they want to. I didn't follow the event live, so I don't really know. |

Re: \"Official\" WSOP on ESPN thread (11/7) (2006 WSOP TOC)
[ QUOTE ]
dn to sexton: "cold deck's going your way brother" flush draw vs TP and gutshot vs aces, SO SICK! [/ QUOTE ] What he means is that whenever he made big hands, Sexton had absolutely nothing, and whenever Sexton had big hands, he had something. I don't really think he was talking about that last gutshot, either. Go over and watch his video blog entry on this event: he says that he had AA four times when Sexton had 92o or something, and he flopped 3 sets where Sexton folded, etc. So all the hands that encouraged money getting into the middle went Sexton's way. That's what he meant. Like another poster said, there were over 300 hands played HU, and maybe five shown on TV. So when he says there were coolers, we can't possibly know about them from just watching the TV coverage. He even says the next morning that if you watch his post-match interview that he'll come off as a sore loser, and that's not what he intended. |

Or it also might be something Harrington talks about in his book. He thinks that DN calls some of these relatively cheap pots for information, so he knows if his reads are correct. DN said after the hand something like "i called just know if im playing good". At this point im still inclined to believe Harrington etc. over players who play nowhere near DN's stakes. |
