Even assuming he actually didn't get paid the percentage he usually does (his claims of this were much disputed in the original thread) he could have at least paid off his clients according to the percentage he got stuck with rather than boning them.

Yes, I got paid for the 8 days before the split, not even at the percentage I was supposed to pay out.

this is a YOUR PROBLEM, not a MY PROBLEM (if I was one of your customers).

Or it should be, if you had any sense of proper business practices. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, in that you're young and not knowledgable of how the real world works and that you weren't TRYING to rip off your customers.

But you did, whether or not you meant to. You're supposed to pay them what you agreed to, period. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with your deal with Empire or how much you made from them - or not - this month. You customers used you as their affiliate for the two weeks previous to the split, right? If so, they deserve what you promised them.

EVEN if you need to dip into your own pocket or sell a computer or something to do so. THAT is the right thing to do and the mark of a smart and honorable businessman.

just my two cents.

Everyone who didn't talk [censored] got paid. so what.

More stand-up business theory.

Anyway, I believe the Federal Marshall (don't remember actual title, sounds right) can be involved here. I thought a few months ago that PartyPoker was F'ing me over and I got in contact with someone who worked for the Federal Marshall and that is exactly what they do- find people that F people over monetarily. I highly suggest if you haven't been paid yet by this penis popscicle that you get in contact with this branch of government.

People that do this type of thing need to be locked up.

fair enough, but my other point was that all the criticism of him is "you screwed those people over!", not "you screwed me personally over!"

uh, no, not really.

and from what i understand about the margins that affiliates work on, this would probably bust many of them.

BS,

Since you didn't get paid in full, you should have at least prorated peoples %'s and paid out what you could.

I don't like the way this thread makes our moderators look. I also removed "professional douchebag" for the same reason. He said he wasn't posting again, and I've gone ahead with the banning for the time being based on what appears to be popular demand.

mat,

sorry if i crossed the line with this thread. I wasnt going to use my mod status to ban him, but def. felt that people should be made aware that he thought it was socially acceptable to resume posting.
