Although, it was true in the 80s.

God, I remember they even were selling a glove you could wear on your fret hand that you could slide up and down the neck faster with. It was really kind of out of control. There was lots of speed with very little substance, and alot of it all sounded the same. Like the Mike Varney stable, for instance.
