Many poster post xx/xx/xx for other Player Stats. Could you please explain what these 3 Stats are? I think it can go in FAQ as well, can't it?

alexejv-

The stats are:

VPIP: voluntarily put $ in pot / PFR: preflop raise (%) / AF: aggression factor.

I'm glad you asked because I struggled my first couple weeks with this when I didn't ask.

Edit: These are the key stats to reading other player's quality of play at the table, four evaluating your own play, and categorizing players, i.e. LPP, LAG, TAG, etc.

Monsters Under the Bed Syndrome (i.e. you tend to get weak when you have a strong hand, as you fear your opponent has a monster).

I'm going to edit in to the FAQ a link to a much more complete list of abbreviations that Robk made in HUSH (now in SSSH). It has all kinds of stuff in it, even some that are only used in OOT.

I may be suffering from sleep loss, but I think I'm right in saying that - as pointed out about 6 posts ago - the stats commonly displayed for us to grunch on are still not explained in the FAQ.

Or, rather, the stats are in the FAQ but it doesn't tell you that when someone posts a hand and says MP3 is x.x/y.y/zz which stat x refers to, nor y, etc.

[No need to reply to me here on this. I got there by myself in the end. But it's definitely good FAQ material].

I'm probably being a wittering buffoon, but I've half a mind to ask that something be put in about saying "thank you". This forum has blown me bleedin' socks off since I found it and I frequently feel I want to show some gratitude.

However, I think "thank you" posts are a bit crufty; the forum is slow to navigateand nobody wnats to click through to a 'new post' to see a flat 'thank you' I suspect. I'd only tend to say it if I was adding a post for other reasons on top. But I don't really like leaving a thread I started without a thank you at the bottom.

I suspect that will just bloat the FAQ though, since I'm sure few other people share my social self consciousness.

Just make your transfers to nikeozz at any number of sites. Preferrably in increments of $50. Easier to keep track of that way.

I dispute that last claim, since he didn't use SIIHP.
