im curious to get more of yoru thoughts on playing against the check min raise.

say u raise ak and flop is 288, assuming your v a player who will check minraise with hands worse than a high, but if he even has 2x he isnt folding how do you adjust your play v these types of players? seems too expensive to bluff raise or call and bet turn to see if he has a pair.

also can u go into further detail on how the regulars play bad in reraised pots, id be interested to see if im making the same mistakes they are.

What are some examples of common bad advice that you see given in SSNL?

Have you had any favorite posters that you've read and would recommend for MSNL and higher?

Are there any good live games at school for decent stakes?

11. You open up PartyPoker and notice that the biggest fish in the world is sitting at a 10/20 10-max table and there is one seat open. However, the rest of the table consists of samo, BLd, BBuddy, HEK, Mahatma, GP, lolo and aba20. Do you take the seat?

OK cts on to your favourite subject: table selection

Which would you prefer to sit at: A table with two 55%vpip donks and four TAGS, or a table with one 75%vpip donk and a five TAGS?

Could you give a breakdown on how exactly you choose a table ?

Do you buddylist players with OK stats who you've seen make horrible donk mistakes postflop? Or do you stick to high vpip players?

How important are each of the following stats for identifying profitable fish, and what should we be looking for?
- vpip
- pfr
- AFT
- WTSD%
- Won@SD%
- Net won \ BB/100
- other

What is your definition a maniac, stats-wise? A calling station? Which do you prefer playing against, and in what relative position?

1. What are your favorite time of day and day of week to play?

2. How many hours a week/month do you put in on average?

3. Approximately how many tables do you play at a time?

Thanks for doing this! These threads are very helpful to us n00bs

I'd love to hear your thoughts on handling re-raised pots, because you've mentioned your affinity for throttling the competition in such spots.

1. A loose-ish player opens from the button, and you re-raise from the BB with 76s. Flop comes Q73r. You lead for ~pot and get called. Turn a brick, like a 2. Fire again? Check/call? I do understand it's tough to answer without real reads and situational rhythm, but I'm curious about how you play re-raised pots OOP.

2. You're on the button with effective stacks 200BBs. "Average" player raises 4x, you re-raise with 76s. First, how much are you re-raising? Second, the flop comes Q73r, Villain checks, you bet ~pot, Villain calls. Turn a 2. Villain checks, you...?

Re-raised pots are an important part of higher stakes poker, and I'd appreciate your thoughts, cts. Many thanks.

i live in virginia (VA beach) and i'm considering W&M as one of my colleges so i hope you dont mind if i ask you some questions about school.

what was your GPA/SAT score in hs? (pm me if you dont want to talk about it on the forum)
what are your general thoughts on the school? what made you decide to go there over some of the other colleges here? do you think its hard-ish to get into?

and uhh, since i like to add one question about poker in, what do you think about checking behind a blank turn with TPTK/overpair for pot control? should you always be value betting here?
